Chaipong Pongpanich

Director, Sasin Management Consulting

Chaipong Pongpanich is the Director of Sasin Management Consulting (SMC) at Sasin School of Management. He has expertise in the areas of strategy and operations. He has been using action learning extensively for his teaching of MBA courses and also his executive programs for several companies across a range of industries in Thailand. These companies include Thaibev, PTT Group, Tesco Lotus, Indorama Ventures, Siam City Cement, Bumrungrad Hospital, and Tokyo Marine. Dr. Chaipong has also done extensive consulting work for both public and private organizations, including the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), PTT Group, Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, Sekisui Chemical, and SCG, among others.

Prior to joining Sasin, Chaipong was a researcher at the University of Cambridge, and then a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He was a visiting scholar at Kellogg School of Management and a visiting professor at Rikkyo University and Tsukuba University. He received his Ph.D. in Manufacturing and Management from the University of Cambridge, M.Eng. from Kyushu Institute of Technology and B.Eng (1stclass honors with gold medal) from Chulalongkorn University.
