Pongporn Sudbanthad graduated from Chulalongkorn University and Pratt Institute. He began his career at the Manhattan Office of the New York City Department of City Planning before returning to Bangkok to teach for several years at Chulalongkorn University. He was a recipient of a UNESCO scholarship to study town and country planning at the Technical University of Szczecin in Poland and has worked internationally at various architectural firms, including Suhaimi Design (on ARAMCO projects in Saudi Arabia) and AECOM (on the MTA LIRR East Side Access project at Grand Central in New York City). With his expertise in urban planning practices, he has been helping the Ladprao canal community and floodway resurrection project to build social enterprise through education and initiatives that connect automobile, bus, railway, ferry, bicycle, and pedestrian transportation. Currentl, e i still involve in several urban scaled projects.
