Sorakrit joined Bangkok Bank in 1998 after he received a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from Chulalongkorn University. He also got an MSc in E-Commerce Technology from University of Sussex, UK and an MS in E-Business Technology from the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, US. Both degrees were fully sponsored by Bangkok Bank. Currently, he has been working with leading banks and global partners in R3 consortium on the Future of Open Account Trade Finance using Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), the Marco Polo project. He is also responsible for Business-to-Business Integration for Transaction Banking, the Straight Through Processing solution where several integration projects have been done with several key strategic customers over the past years. The solution increased efficiency for customers and Bangkok Bank, which led to Bangkok Bank receiving the 2015 Thailand ICT Excellence Award in the category of Business Enabler from TMA. Sorakrit, together with other key members, also helped Bangkok Bank become an early adopter of the ISO20022 standard, the national standard under the collaboration between public and private sectors in cross industries.
